George Harry Hagele, 67, of the Fountain Lake Community, Ark., died Wednesday, March 16, 2011.
George was born April 22, 1943, in Chicago, Ill., to the late George and Florence (Rogers) Hagele. He was an entrepreneur with an eclectic assortment of talents. He organized the National Dry Foamers Association, helped found the Garden Railroad Clubs in the Village and central Iowa. He was a member of the Hot Springs Village Woodworkers Association and Hot Springs Village Square Dance Club. He loved working with anything mechanical, electrical or wooden. George should be remembered most for his great sense of humor as well as having the intelligence and ability to build or fix anything.
He is preceded in death by his parents. George is survived by his wife of 23 years, Maureen (Schroeder) Hagele of the Fountain Lake Community; sons George A. Hagele (Sherryl) of Florida and Douglas M. Hagele (Deanna) of Iowa; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
