Charles Bohne Dies Monday; Services Set
Charles J. Bohne, 78, R.R. 1, Newton, lifelong resident of Newton, died Monday afternoon at Veterans Administration Hospital in Des Moines.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Toland-Wallace Funeral Home.
Dr. L. H. Athey, pastor of the Center Friends Church, northeast of Newton, will conduct the services. Burial will be in St. John’s cemetery north of Newton.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 p.m. today.
Mr. Bohne was a member of the St. John’s Evangelical Church.
A farmer, Mr. Bohne was a veteran of World War I.
The son of H. A. and Caroline Schnathorst Bohne, he was born May 12, 1892, in Jasper County.
He was preceded in death by six brothers and three sisters.
