Parr, Mrs. Ed ( Mary France) 1867-1896

Reasnor – Died, at Des Moines, January 9th, of pneumonia, Mrs. Ed. Parr. She was a daughter of O. H. France, who lived about two miles northeast of Reasnor for over twenty years, but sold out several years ago and now lives in Clark County, near Murray. Mrs. Ed Parr was born in Fulton Co., Ill., October 17, 1867. She was only sick a few days and passed away peacefully to the other shore. She was a member of the Protestant Church. She leaves a husband and two small children to mourn her loss. Her body was laid to rest near Murray where her parents live. Wm. and Leonard France, brothers of Mrs. Parr, attended their sister’s funeral. ~ The Newton (IA) Record, Part Two, Friday, January 17, 1896, Page 2, Column 1

Died, at her home, No. 1214 East Seventh Street, Des Moines, Iowa, Jan 9, of Lung Pneumonia, Mrs. Ed. Parr. Mrs. Parr was born in Ipava, Fulton County, Illinois, October 17, 1866. She had been sick but a few days and it was a great shock to her family and friends when she peacefully passed into her Maker’s hands. She was a member of the Protestant church, and although she lived but a short time, by her loving disposition she gained many friends who will greatly miss her. She leaves a husband and two children, Herbert aged 4 and Dell aged 2 years, to mourn her loss. The body will be taken to Murry, Iowa, for interment.

She will be remembered her as Miss Mary France. ~ Newton (IA) Journal Wed. Jan 15, 1896
