Died While Visiting Friends

Miss Bettie Meyer, now deceased, went to Freeport, Ill., the latter part of last month for a visit, and on last Saturday morning her father, Arch Meyer, received a telegram to come there immediately as Bettie was dangerously sick. He started at once and upon his arrival, Sunday, telegraphed his wife to come also. On Tuesday noon, A. Dahlem, an uncle of the deceased, received a message that Bettie was dead and that the remains would arrive at Baxter on Wednesday morning’s train. A hearse met the early train, Wednesday, and conveyed the body to the old home. The interment took place yesterday at the German Cemetery.
