McClery, Mrs. James (Tool) 1821-1896

Monroe – The Oberlin, Kansas, paper records the death of Mrs. James McClery, wife of Dr. McClery, of that place, and sister of John and James Tool. Mrs. McClery was born in West Virginia, January 21, 1821. She was twice married, first to Willard Flenor, at twenty years of age, after his death in 1857; she was again married to Dr. McClery. By her first husband she had two children, one, Mrs. English, of Beatrice, Neb., survives her. She had three children by her last husband, one daughter, Miss Emma McClery, the present Co. Superintendent, of Decatur Co., Kansas, is living. Mrs. McClery was a good Christian woman and will be much missed by her friends. ~ The Newton (IA) Record, Part Two, Friday, January 10, 1896, Page 8, Column 4
