Jas. A. MeredithI also recieved from Linda Evenson, the Librarian. in Minn., a copy of the obituary from The Glenville Progress, 10 June 1915 for Richard Thomas Enfield's wife Eliza Ann. In the obituary it said she was born in Ky. June 14, 1837 and died at the home of her son John near Myrtle, Minn. June 6, 1915 aged 77 years 11 months and 22 days. Death was caused by an attack of pneumonia. The article went on to say that her children took her remains to Searsboro, Ia. where they laid them beside her husband who was an old soldier and who died seventeen years ago.
The article is incorrect that she was buried in Searsboro for obviously she's in Lynnville Cemetery with her husband R. T. even though as far as I can see the marker doesn't reflect it. The marker is very old and seriously deteriorated and barely legible. It also would of been almost nineteen years since he died.
The birthdate for R. T. Enfield is off in the article from the G A R for he was barely 61. He was born 8-10-1834 in Ind. He was another casualty of the Civil War as was his brother and brother-in-law.
