George A. Church Dies Early Today
George August Church, 86, of 1832 Rapid St. in Adel, died early this morning at the Clarence Church residence northwest of Kellogg.
Mr. Church was transferred to the Fisher Funeral Home at Adel.
Johnson Chapel is in charge of local arrangements.
Survivors are three sons, J. F. Church of Bolling (sic) Green, Ky., Clarence Church of Kellogg, and Col. (Ret.) Jacob Church of Monterey Park, Calif.; a daughter, Mrs. Gertie L. Hull of Vinton, Okla., 22 grandchildren; 24 great–grandchildren and three great–great–grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Marie, in 1926, and his second wife, Bessie, two sons, a sister and his parents.
Mr. Church was a member of the Open Bible Church at Adel.
Mr. Church was a retired employee of the Adel Brick and Tile Co.
The son of George and Carrie Miller Church, he was born Feb. 18, 1879 in Oklahoma.
