Died, at her home in Des Moines, Monday, February 17, 1896, Mrs. E. M. Atkinson. The funeral services were held at the Congregational Church in Baxter, Iowa, Wednesday, at 10 o’clock a. m., and the remains were laid in their last resting place in Independence Cemetery. ~ The Newton Record, Friday, February 21, 1896 Page 9, Column 6
