OBITUARY FOR PETER DELBERT BENSHOOF
9 Apr 1890 , Newton, Jasper, Iowa, USA

From the Newton (Iowa) Journal, April 9, 1890:

Died: At the home of his grandparents in the city, last Sunday afternoon at two o'clock of inflammatory rheumatism, Peter Delbert Benshoof. The young man would have been 16 years of age had he lived until next Wednesday, April 9th. He was born in Iowa county, but has made his home with his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Peter L Benshoof, in this city, since 1877. The funeral service was held at the residence at 2 o'clock Monday afternoon, conducted by Rev. E. L. Schreiner. The sympathy of the community is with the sorrowing friends."
