Alice Marie Malone, 74, of Lovilia, formerly of Newton, died Tuesday, Jan. 18, 2011 at the Monroe County Hospital in Albia.
A funeral service took place Saturday morning, Jan. 22, at the Winfield Funeral Home in Albia with Rev. Neil Montz officiating. Burial followed at Woodlawn Cemetery in Lovilia. Condolences may be sent to www.winfieldfh.com.

Alice was born August 11, 1936 to Price and Ethel (Plum) Bain on their farm in Bluff Creek Township. She graduated from Albia High School. On February 19, 1955 she married John F. Malone at the Little Brown Church. They shared 55 years of marriage.
Alice worked for Trophy Glove in Albia for twenty-five years, and was a homemaker.
Alice is survived by her husband, John of Lovilia; her children, Joan Malone of Lovilia, Dennis (Theresa) Malone of West Des Moines, and Douglas (Linda) Malone of Albia; and eight grandchildren. Alice is also survived by two brothers, John and Melvin Bain both of Albia.
Alice was preceded in death by her parents, Price and Ethel.
