Wickliff, Dennis H. – 1940–2011

Dennis H. Wickliff of Thatcher, Ariz., died in Tucson on Jan. 13, 2011, at the age of 70.
Dennis was born in Jasper County, Iowa, on April 4, 1940, to Howard and Margaret Ebert Wickliff. He served in the U.S. Army in southeast Asia, was a retired over-the-road truck driver and retired from Dealers Warehouse in Newton, Iowa, before moving to Thatcher in 1994. He was a member of the American Legion in Safford, loved to camp and fish with his grandson Colton, was an avid rock hound and arrow head hunter. Dennis enjoyed reading mystery novels, listening to his granddaughter, Cheyenne, sing and play the guitar and spending time with his son, Jason and son-in-law, Al.
Survivors include his wife, Pattie of Thatcher; his son, Jason of Eureka Springs, Ark.; daughter Ellen (Al) Iske of Safford; and his grandchildren, Colton Iske of Tucson and Cheyenne Iske of Safford; a special family friend, Dudley Haines of Eureka Springs, Ark; a brother, Gary Wickliff, and a nephew, Mark Seals, both of Reasnor, Iowa; and his mother-in-law, Mardelle Webb of Pima, Ariz.
Preceding him in death was his parents.
At his request, no services will be held. Contributions may be made to the Safford High School Choir c/o Taste of Sound, 1400 W. 11th St. Safford, AZ 85546. Cremation entrusted to Westlawn Chapel, Mortuary and Crematory of Willcox, Ariz.
