John Van Klaveren, 89, formerly of Pella, died Saturday afternoon, Jan. 8, 2011, at the Oskaloosa Care Center in Oskaloosa.
A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 12, at the First Baptist Church in Pella. Interment will be made in the Forest Cemetery in Oskaloosa.
Visitation will begin after 1 p.m. Tuesday at Van Dyk-Duven Funeral Home in Pella, where the family will be present from 5:30 to 7 p.m.

John Van Klaveren was born February 04, 1921. John is survived by his wife, U. Arlene (Maloy) Van Klaveren of Oskaloosa and two children: Sharon K. and husband, Dennis Palmer, of Oskaloosa and Larry J. Van Klaveren and wife, June, of Chesterfield, MO.
The family would prefer memorials be given for the Oskaloosa Care Center in Oskaloosa, Iowa or the First Baptist Church in Pella, Iowa.
