Dorothy “Roberta” Sanders Dutton, 94, formerly of Kellogg, died Friday, Dec. 31, 2010, at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines.
A funeral service took place Wednesday, Jan. 5, at Westminster Presbyterian Church in Des Moines. Burial was at Glendale Cemetery in Des Moines. Westover Funeral Home in Des Moines handled arrangements.

Roberta was born October 23, 1916 in Kellogg, IA to J. Frank and Laura Callison. She was a graduate of Kellogg High School and served in the Waves during WWII. Roberta lived in Des Moines most of her life, was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church for over 50 years, and enjoyed her flower gardens and playing canasta.
Survivors include her daughter, Janice (Lloyd) Deaton of Des Moines; son, John Sanders of Quincy, IL; stepson, Jim (Ann) Ramsey of Marshalltown, IA; nine grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren. Roberta was preceded in death by her husbands, Russell Sanders and Walter Dutton, and two sisters.
The family will receive friends from 5-7:00 pm, Tuesday, January 4, 2011 at Westover Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
