Mrs. Ward Rumbo of Near Ira Died Yesterday P.M.
The death of Mrs. Ward Rumbo of near Ira, which occurred yesterday afternoon at two o’clock has brought sorrow to many hearts. She had been very sick since the birth of a pair of twins several weeks ago and yesterday gave up the fight for life and departed leaving her husband and five children. One of the twins, a boy, died immediately, and the other one, a girl, is left to the care of strangers. Mrs. Rumbo’s maiden name was Chloral Campbell and her home has always been in the vicinity of Ira, where she was highly respected and loved. Her death is indeed a sad one and the bereaved family have the deepest sympathy of friends and strangers alike.
The funeral will be held Saturday afternoon at 1:30 at the Union chapel.
