SERVICES FRIDAY;
DIES WEDNESDAYNEWTON--Funeral services for Howard James Robson, 65, of 914 1st St. N., a resident of Newton for 55 years, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the Wallace Funeral Home.
The Rev. Harold Schutte, assistant pastor of the First Assembly of God, will conduct services. Burial will be in the Newton Union Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 6 p.m. today.
He died Wednesday morning at the Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines.
Survivors are his wife, Beulah; four sons, Larry Roush, William D. Robson, Howard J. Robson and Frank J. Robson; two daughters, Patricia L. Greiman and Nancy Rae; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three brothers, Elmer Robson, Wilbur Robson and John Robson; and three sisters, Elizabeth Oliphant, Grace Schutte and Martha Guthrie.
He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and a sister.
Mr. Robson, a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and Teamsters Union, Local 147, had retired from Western Transportation in 1975.
The son of John and Martha Knapp Robson, he was born Oct. 17, 1917 in Laurel.
He was married to Beulah Hervey Sept. 14, 1954 in Omaha, Neb.
