Mrs. Louisa Marshall Dies Unexpectedly
Mrs. Louisa Marshall, 72, died of a heart attack Monday evening at her home, 515 South Eighth avenue West.
The daughter of William and Bertha Koethe Henning, she was born in Newton, Jan. 22, 1873 and had spent her entire life in Jasper county.
She was married Mar. 4, 1890 in Newton to Lincoln Marshall who preceded her in death 11 years ago. Mrs. Marshall was a member of the First Presbyterian church.
Mrs. Marshall is survived by a son, William Marshall and a daughter, Mrs. Allan McAllister, both of Newton, and five grandchildren; Alan McAllister of Indianapolis, Ind., and Gerald D., Betty, Delores and Marilyn Marshall, all of Newton.
Funeral services will b e held from the Murdoch Funeral Home 2:30 p.m. Thursday. The Rev. James W. Bean of the First Presbyterian church will officiate. Mrs. J. E. Richards, Mrs. H. W. Horell will be in charge of flowers. Mrs. Maurice Rodgers, accompanied by Mrs. M. L. Jackson will sing, “The Old Rugged Cross” and “God Be With You.”
Burial will be in Newton Union cemetery.
