Last December she suffered an attack of influenza which left her in a weakened condition. On Feb. 19 she gave birth to a baby girl, and on March 9th she was taken ill with an attack of appendicitis and was taken to the Baldwin hospital the day following where an operation was performed for appendicitis. D.; a brother, Harvey Shuey of Spooner, Wis.; her husband and six children, Cecil L. 19; Bertha Louise, 15; Martha L., 9; Jena, 5; Maebelle , 2; and Vivian, three weeks old. Three children preceded her in death.

Her body arrived in Maxwell Friday afternoon and was taken to the Ashton chapel, where at 2 o'clock Rev. Matthews preached a very appropriate sermon on "Christian Mothers."
