Willis Pickens Rites Held This Afternoon

Pallbearers at the funeral services for Willis Pickens, 63 which were held this afternoon at the Morgan Funeral Home, were Elmer Pickens, Robert Pickens, Glen, Pickens, Thomas Pickens, Dr. James Hill and Frank Hill.

Marion Welle was the soloist, and Mrs. Lois Stanton accompanist. Rev. Fred D. Boldt; pastor of the First Lutheran Church, officiated. Burial was in Newton Union cemetery. ~ The Newton Iowa Daily News, Tuesday, March 1, 1949
