Hold Funeral Services for Mrs. Nancy Worley

PRAIRIE CITY - Funeral services for Mrs. Nancy Worley were held in the Christian church here Sunday with the Rev. Gayle Fisher in charge. Music was furnished by a quartet composed of Mrs. G. Colston, Mrs. Craig Colston, Craig Colston and Carroll Colston who sang "Nearer My God to Thee" and "Beautiful Isle of Somewhere."

Interment was in Waveland cemetery.

Mrs. Worley, a pioneer resident of Prairie City, died at the Soldiers' Home in Marshalltown where she had lived the past eight years. She was born in Indiana on May 30, 1854, and came to Iowa in a covered wagon at the age of two. She married Andrew Yuill on July 4, 1874, who died in 1909. Later she was married to John Worley who preceded her in death in 1932. Being the last of her immediate family, she is survived only by nieces and nephews. ~ The Newton (IA) Daily News, Nov. 19, 1948
