Graveside services for Virginia B. Kleinendorst will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 8, 2010, at Mt. Zion Cemetery in rural Newton. Pence-Reese Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
The daughter of Henry D. and J. Marie Scarbrough Gifford, Virginia was born Oct. 5, 1924, in Jasper County, Iowa. She married Keith Kleinendorst in 1942. Survivors include her son Marvin (Brenda) Kleinendorst of Casa Grande, Ariz.; her daughter, Cheryl Branon of Newton; her three granddaughters, four great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild; her brothers, Clinton Gifford of Kellogg, Iowa, and Vernon Gifford of Missouri; and her sisters, Wyonne Sylvester of Colorado and Grace Mackerman of Newton. She was preceded in death by her son, Barton; her husband, Keith; and sisters, Jessie Murphy and Valeta VanDalen.
