Rites Held For Neff in P.C.

PRAIRIE CITY – Funeral services for C. C. Neff were held from the Methodist church here Sunday afternoon with the Rev. C. P. Hughes in charge assisted by the Rev. Edward Huibregtse.

A quartet composed of William Van Zee Jr., Earl Williams, John Van Steenbergen, and Melvin Bowans sang accompanied by Mrs. Sam McFadden.

Pallbearers were Arthur Jennings, Everett Churchill, Mason Ogg, Ross Kane, Maynard Vaught and Wayne Volk.

Burial was in the Monroe cemetery.

Mr. Neff died at his home here last Friday following a week’s illness. ~ The Newton (IA) Daily News, Jan. 14, 1944
