Paul Victor Mueller was born on Feb. 5, 1953, in Atlantic, Iowa, and was adopted by Victor and Inez (Pope) Mueller of Walnut, Iowa. He was baptized at the First Presbyterian Church in Walnut.
Paul attended the Walnut Schools and graduated with the Class of 1971. He farmed for several years before going to work for Pelgas gas company in Atlantic, Iowa. He retired from Sully Cooperative in Newton, Iowa, where he had worked in management.
He was united in marriage on August 29, 1987 to Mary Kay Dolan at the First Presbyterian Church in Walnut.
Paul died on Monday, June 14, 2010, having attained the age of 57 years, four months and nine days at the Doctors Hospital at Renaissance in Edinburg, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife Mary Kay Mueller of Mission, Texas; his step-sons, David Brunsmann and his wife, Michelle, of Moore, Okla., and Marty Brunsmann and his wife, Charity, of Newton, Iowa; step-daughter Melissa and her husband, David, Iseminger of Newton; six grandchildren, Kyle Brunsmann of Moore, Okla., Tucker, Teddie and Tess Brunsmann of Newton, Iowa, and Jacob and Jaron Iseminger of Newton; two brothers, Kenneth Mueller of Des Moines, Iowa, and David Mueller of Corning, Iowa; nieces and nephews; other family members and friends.
Family will greet friends in Newton at VFW Hall on Sunday, June 20, from 2 to 4 p.m. Visitation is Monday, June 21, from 1 to 2 p.m. at Pauley Jones Funeral Home in Avoca, Iowa, with a memorial service to immediately to follow. Inurnment at Layton Township Cemetery in Walnut, Iowa.
