Bill Watt, 64, of Newton passed away June 6, 2010, at Mercy Hospital in Sioux City, Iowa.
Bill was born Dec. 31, 1945, in Kansas City, Mo., to William and Nettie Watt. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He retired from Nationwide Insurance. Bill was a 32nd degree Mason and an active member of AA, having been sober 27 years.
Bill is survived by his wife, Nancy; children, Ann Brown, Bill K. Watt Jr., Will Segerstrom and Christen Segerstrom; grandchildren, Philicia and Aurora; sisters, Barbara Watt-Lightfoot, Jane Watt-Davis and Peg Watt-Montgomery; and many other extended relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; his nephews, Kenneth and Daniel Lightfoot; and a niece, Sue Ann Dougall.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, June 13, with a memorial service at 4 p.m. at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon St., Des Moines.
