Mrs. Alice Ann Shaw
Mrs. Alice Ann Shaw, 85, member of The Daily News’ Three Quarter Century club, died Sunday at 2:45 a.m. at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Frank Efnor, near Monroe.
The daughter, Mrs. Efnor, and the son, W.M. Shaw of Des Moines, former Newton resident, were at the bedside at the time of her death.
Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, at 2:30 p.m. from the Methodist Episcopal church in Monroe. Interment was in the Monroe cemetery.
Besides her son and daughter, Mrs. Shaw is survived by five grandchildren, Mrs. Vernal Grant and Mrs. Leslie H. Bean of Newton, Harold Efnor of Knoxville, Mrs. F.L. Phillips of Bronson, Mich, and Mrs. Joe A Mayhew of Des Moines, and six great grandchildren: Phyllis Efnor, Willis Grant, Charles and Bonnie June Bean, Ronnie Phillips and Carolyn Mac Mayhew.
