Anna Lucile Collins was born to Alvin and Mabel (Rowe) Greif on a farm near Dallas Center, Iowa, on April 14, 1918.
She attended country school for two years and then went to the Dallas Center School, then moved to Buffalo Center, Iowa, where she graduated with the Class of 1936. Her college years were at UNI, Waldorf, NIAC and Drake University.
Anna married Melvin Kroeze on Dec. 23, 1958.
She moved to Thompson, Iowa, in December of 1982, where she volunteered at the Thompson School.
Anna is survived by her loving children, Marilyn Jean Krzeminski of Detroit, Mich.; Roger Alvin Kroeze of Prescott, Minn.; Alvin Eugene Collins of Newton, Iowa; nine grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and special friend Lloyd Kiewiet of Buffalo Center, Iowa.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Eldon; and husband, Melvin.
Alvin Eugene Collins became the chosen son of Gordon (Jerry) and June Anderson at the age of 3.

Anna L. Collins, age 91, of Thompson, Iowa, died Friday, February 19, 2010, at the Titonka Care Center in Titonka, Iowa.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, February 22, 2010, at Mittelstadt Funeral Home, 902 East Main Street in Lake Mills, with Rev. William Peake officiating. Burial will take place in Rose Hill Cemetery, Thompson, Iowa.
Visitation with her family will be one hour prior to the service.
Anna married Melvin Kroeze on December 23, 1938. Anna married Eldon Collins on December 4, 1958.
