Mrs. Margaret Robinson Chambers lived a beautiful, earnest, busy life and her memory will long be a pleasant, sweet one to hundreds of friends as well as to those of her immediate family and associates, who had long loved her for her womanly ways and her Christian zeal and graces.

The funeral service was held in Jackson, Minnesota, Monday, April 22 and then Rev. Chambers left with the body for her mother’s home in this city where a brief service was held Wednesday afternoon and it was taken to the Newton Cemetery and was interred in the lot where the remains of her father, Ralph Robinson, was laid less than a year ago.

Mrs. Chambers had a sweet voice and while in Newton sang in the Presbyterian choir with Mrs. Dillie Carrier, Mrs. Cunningham and Messrs. T. G. Bryant and Will Murdock, who sang at her funeral “Face to Face”, “Sometime We’ll Understand” and “The Sweet Bye and Bye”, “Crossing the Bar”, one of her favorite songs, and one which she often sang during her illness, was sung by Miss Carrie Miles.

The text of scripture used was. “I Have Seen Him Face to Face” and was one chosen by herself.

There were quantities of beautiful flowers, offerings of friends here and in Jackson, Minn. The bearers were: A. K. Lufkin, William Carrier, harry Farr, George Shenton, T. G. Bryant and Henry Morrison.

Mrs. Margaret Robinson Chambers, eldest child of Ralph and Fannie Robinson, was born in Bucyrus, Crawford County Ohio, Feb. 14, 1865. When she was only a child her parents moved to Iowa making their home for a few years in Fairfield. Afterwards the permanent residence of the family was taken up at Newton; where Mr. Robinson was for a great many years connected with the Newton Journal, and the daughter was assistant in the office.

She was graduated from the Newton high school and afterwards studied music at Grinnell.

On May 9, 1900, she was united in marriage to Rev. R. F. Chambers, the pastor of the First Presbyterian Church of Newton and with her husband was for over seven years connected with the work of the church.

In Nov. 18, 1907, with her husband to redwood Falls, Minn. Mr. Chambers having been called to the pastorate of the Presbyterian church of that place, and it was during their residence at Redwood Falls their two children were born.

In Jan 18, 1910, Mr. Chambers having received a call to become pastor of the Presbyterian church of Jackson, Minn., they took up their residence in that town where they resided at the time of her death April 19, 1912.

In all the churches, where with her husband she had labored, she had by her earnest, Christian character endeared herself to host of friend, who mourn with her husband and family her departure from their association. ~ Newspaper unknown.
