Dorothy D. Chape, 91, passed away peacefully on January 1, 2010 at Newton Healthcare in Newton.
A memorial service will be held in Columbia, Mo. with family and friends.
Dorothy was born November 21, 1918 to Gerald and Maurine Folbre in Forest City, Ark.
Dorothy’s working years as a LPN were spent in Columbia, Mo.
Those left to honor her memory are her children, Kit (Ann) Chape of Manhattan Beach, CA, Bill (Janice) Chape of Columbia, Mo, L.A. Nolan of San Luis Obispo, Calif., and Lin Chape of Newton; 4 grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; 2 brothers; her beloved husband, Allen J. Chape; and son, David Allen Chape.
Arrangements are being handled by the Wallace Family Funeral Home in Newton and Brumback Funeral Home in Stockton, Mo.
Donations or memorials should be directed to Newton Healthcare, Hospice of Jasper County, the Jasper County Animal Rescue League, or the Jasper County Alzheimer’s Association.
