Mrs. Mika Orlich Died at Des Moines Hospital
Mrs. Mika Orlich, 84, a resident of this city for the past 50 years, died at the Iowa Lutheran hospital in Des Moines Saturday, Sept. 3rd, at 6:30 in the evening. Her death followed a long illness, and a gradual decline in health the past few years. She had been taken to the hospital August 20th.

Mrs. Orlich was born July 14, 1871 at Voganac, Yugoslavia, the daughter of Peter and Mary Bovich Cjrnovich, and was united in marriage to Steve Orlich November 18, 1889, in that city. To this union, eleven children were born, five of whom died in infancy.

Left to survive her passing are Mike of British Columbia, Canada and Raddy of East Moline, Ill.; Mrs. Mike Rastovac of Johnston Station, Mrs. Luba Milnes of Monrovia, Calif., Mrs. Betty Holt of Denver, Colo., and Mrs. Sue Von Mach Brandt of Monrovia, Calif. Two sisters, Mrs. Anga Grubich of Columbus, Ohio and Mrs. Anna Bichie of Voganac, Yugoslavakia also survive along with 12 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

Mrs. Orlich was a devoted mother, and derived great pleasure from her duties as a housewife and the responsibility of raising her children.
Funeral services were conducted from the Colfax Christian Church Tuesday afternoon, Sept. 6th at 2:00, with the Rev. J. O. Whanger, pastor, officiating.

Music was furnished by Mrs. Geo. Rinker at the organ.

Bearers were Ralph Fraizer, William Van Maren, Dan Price, Harold Marlowe, Harold Orlich, and Steve Orlich.

Mrs. William Snetselaar and Mrs. Mitchell Orlich were in charge of the floral arrangements.

Burial was in the cemetery at Colfax, Iowa.
