Funeral services for Bartholomew Kelly, 85, who died Monday evening at 7:45 o'clock, were held Wednesday morning at 10:00 a.m. at the Sacred Heart church with Father T. J. McCann in charge. Burial was in the Sacred Heart cemetery.

Mr. Kelly, who had been ill for some time, was born in New York state in 1855 and came to Iowa at the age of 15 years, living in and around Newton since that time.

Surviving relatives are two sons, Ivan of Sheridan, Wyo., and Geo. of California; a brother, D. M. Kelly of Cedar Falls; and two nephews of Newton, F. J. Kelly and John Kelly.
