Former Area Resident Dies; Rites Friday
Mrs. Homer (Lucille Ella) Streeter, 54, of State Center, a former Jasper County resident died Tuesday at the Marshalltown Community Hospital-West.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the United Methodist Church in State Center.
The Rev. Irvin Wilkins, pastor of the church, will conduct the services. Burial will be in Rose Hill Memorial Gardens in Marshalltown.
Survivors are her husband; a daughter, Mrs. David (Marie) Henze of Zearing, a son, Max of Nevada; her mother, Mrs. Marie Henning of Melbourne; a sister, Mrs. John (Esther) McKibbin of Rhodes and three grandchildren.
Mrs. Streeter was a member of the United Methodist church in State Center and the Delilah Rebekah Lodge No. 61.
The daughter of Fred and Marie Henning, she was born Dec. 10, 1917 in Newton and was educated in Laurel and Van Cleve schools.
She was married to Homer Streeter Jan. 6, 1941 at Melbourne.
Mrs. Streeter resided in the State Center and Baxter communities before moving into State Center.
Friends may call at the Brimhall-West Funeral Home in State Center until 10 a.m. Friday.
