THURMAN STREETER DIES SATURDAY; SERVICES TUESDAY

KELLOGG -- Thurman E. Streeter, 66, of Rt. 1, Kellogg, a resident of the Kellogg area for 31 years, died Saturday evening at the University Hospitals in Iowa City.

Funeral services will be held at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Toland-Wallace Fuenral Home.

The Rev. Carl Klein, pastor of the Kellogg Methodist Church, assisted by the Rev. Morris Hay, pastor of the Hickory Grove Church, will conduct services. Burial will be in Ashton Cemetery near Baxter.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 p.m. today.

Survivors are his wife, Gladoline; four sons, Gary of Newton, Don and Larry, both of Altoona, and Ron of Kellogg; four daughters, Mrs. Richard (Delores) Jay of Altoona, Mrs. Frank (Shirley) Barr of Kellogg, Mrs. John (Carolyn) Mathre of Coggon, and Mrs. Thomas (Judy) Astleford of Grandview, Mo.; 21 grandchildren; and two brothers, Homer and Joe Streeter, both of State Center.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister in infancy.

Mr. Streeter, a farmer, was a member of the United Methodist Church of Kellogg.

The son of James and Melissa Stock Streeter, he was born Oct. 20, 1908 in Wheatland, Okla.

He was married to Gladoline Shickell Jan. 16, 1933 at Nevada.

Mr. Streeter had resided in the Mingo and Collins communities before moving to Kellogg.
