GLADOLINE F. STREETER

KELLOGG--Funeral services for Gladoline F. Shickell Streeter, 72, of Rt. 1, Box 9, Kellogg, a resident of Kellogg since 1943, were held today, June 29, at the Wallace-Pence Funeral Home in Newton.

The Rev. Craig Peters, pastor of the Kellogg United Methodist Church, conducted services. Burial was in the Ashton Cemetery, north of Mingo.

Visitation with the family was held Sunday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions to a fund in her name may be left at the funeral home.

She died Friday evening at the Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines.

Survivors are four sons, Gary L. of Nevada, Don D. and Larry G., both of Altoona, and Ron E. of Kellogg; four daughters, Delores Jay of Altoona, Shirley (Mrs. Frank) Barr of Kellogg, Carolyn (Mrs. John) Mathre of Coggon and Judy (Mrs. Thomas) Astleford of Raymond; 22 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Also surviving are a brother, the Rev. Virgil Shickell of Collins and two sisters, Mrs. Genevieve Geisler of Colo and Velda (Mrs. Verne) Noring of Indianola.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Thurman, Sept. 13, 1975, and a brother, Donald, in infancy.

Mrs. Streeter, a member of the Kellogg United Methodist Church, Mix Master Club and Kellogg Senior Citizens, had been a homemaker and assisterd her husband with the farm work.

The daughter of Tim and Ethel Torry Shickell, she was born Nov. 17, 1914 in Collins.

She was married to Thurman Edwin Streeter Jan. 16, 1933 in Nevada.

Mrs. Streeter had lived in the Collins and Mingo communities prior to moving to a farm in the Kellogg community.
