Floyd Howell, 68, of Newton died on Thursday, July 16, 2009.
The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Wallace Family Funeral Home. The family will greet friends from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.
Those left to honor Floyd’s memory are his wife, Ellen of Newton; two daughters, Dawn (Bob) Pfister of Monroe and Kim Howell (Harold Petro) of Kellogg; his three sons, Wayne Howell (Angie Hodgon) of Grinnell, Tracy Howell of Newton and James (Jeannie) Howell of Newton; 19 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; two brothers; and two sisters.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Madeline (Pancoast) Howell; a grandson, Christopher Lust; a great-granddaughter, Kaydance Siedlecki; two brothers; and one sister.

Floyd was born June 09, 1941.
The names of other survivors are 2 brothers, Gary (Betty) Howell of Pleasant Hill and Ronald (Harriet) Howell of Newton; and 2 sisters, Darlene Markwitz of Conrad and Marcelene Schaper of Newton.
Floyd was a retired maintenance worker. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, horse shoes, fishing, skipping rocks, NASCAR, and being with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Memorials in Floyd's name may be left at the funeral home.
Interment will be immediately following the funeral service on Tuesday, July 21, 2009 at Newton Union Cemetery.
