Leona G. Clement, 80, of Newton died on Saturday, July 4, 2009, at the Hospice of Jasper County’s Monarch Wing in Newton.
Leona’s funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 8, 2009, at the Wallace Family Funeral Home in Newton.
The family will greet friends from 6 to 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.
Memorials to Hospice of Jasper County or to the Salvation Army may be left at the funeral home.
Survivors include her daughter, Georgia (Tom) McClure of Newton; her three sons, Jack (Rose) Clement of Belle Plaine, Fred (Diane) Martinson of Newton and Randy Clement of Newton; 10 grandchildren; and her 17 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Francis in 1996; three brothers, Neal, Conrad “Connie” and Marion “Tex” Horstman; and her special sister-in-law, Martha Ferguson.
