Huber, Clarence L. – 1941-2009

Clarence L. Huber, 67, of Newton died on Monday, June 1, 2009, at Skiff Medical Center in Newton.
Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 11, 2009, at the English Lutheran Church in Hazen, N.D.
Clarence, the son of Leo L. and Edna (Renner) Huber, was born Sept. 28, 1941, in Beulah, N.D. He was a graduate of Beulah High School in Beulah. Clarence worked in maintenance as a pipefitter for the Maytag Company, retiring in 2001. He was united in marriage with Linda (Dohse) Karrow on April 13, 2007, in Clinton.
Clarence was a member of the pipefitters’ union, the Moose Lodge, the Masonic Lodge and the UAW Local 997 Retirees Union. He enjoyed leather crafting, nature and wildlife, being in the outdoors, photography, tinkering with designing and fixing things.
Those left to honor Clarence’s memory include his wife, Linda of Newton; daughter, Dena (Dan) Huber-Kantola of Grants Pass, Ore.; son, Casey Huber of St. Louis, Mo.; four grandchildren; and three sisters, Loretta Bankson of Davenport, Marlene Schriefer of Golden Valley, N.D., and Frances Huber of Austin, Ark.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
