Everett, Elmer – 1944-2009

COLFAX — Elmer Eugene Everett, 64, of Colfax, died Monday, May 18, 2009, at his home. Funeral services will be on Thursday, May 21, at 5 p.m. at Coburn Funeral Home in Colfax. The family will greet friends from 3 to 5 p.m. prior to the service. Burial will take place on Friday at 11 a.m. at Evergreen Cemetery in Omaha, Neb.
Memorials may be given to the Elmer E. Everett Memorial Fund and online condolences may be left for the family at www.coburnfuneralhomes.com.
The son of Paul W. and Luella Mae (Brown) Everett, Elmer was born on June 19, 1944, in Onawa. Elmer proudly served in the United States Marines Corps. He enjoyed fishing and hunting and was a life member of Bass Masters.
Those left to honor his memory are his two daughters, Tina Everett of Pleasant Hill and Nancy Everett of Omaha, Neb.; a grandson, Skyler Dean Everett; and his brothers and sister, Peggy (Jack) Gadbury of Corning, Charles (Maggie) Everett of Sierra Vista, Ariz., Lonnie (Cassandra) Everett of New Smyrna, Fla., and Siguard (Carole) Sorenson of Omaha, Neb.
Preceding Elmer in death were his parents; a son, Robert Eugene Everett in 2004; a brother, William Paul Everett; and two sisters, Doris Heman and Lois Alspach.
