Faune A. (Maxwell) Husted, 80, of Newton died on Sunday, May 17, 2009, at Hospice of Jasper County’s Monarch Wing in Newton.
A memorial service will be at 11 a.m., Wednesday, May 20, 2009 at the First Assembly of God Church, 1029 E. 19th St. N., Newton, conducted by the Rev. M. DeWayne Anderson.
The family will greet friends from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m., Wednesday, at the Wallace Family Funeral Home in Newton.Burial will be at the Wallace Cemetery in rural Martensdale.
Survivors include her husband, Kenneth of Newton; son, Ron (Pam) Husted of Newton; her four grandchildren: Heidi (Rick) Benton of Des Moines, Brian (Brooke) Husted of Des Moines, Michael Husted of Newton, and Katy (Tom) Du Vall of Newton; seven great-granddaughters: Christina Husted, Jesse and Melody Benton, Madeline, Hannah, and Brenna Husted, and Lillian Du Vall.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Dale Maxwell.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond J. and Florence (Alexander) Maxwell, and her brother, Dale Maxwell.
Faune was a graduate of Martensdale High School in Martensdale, Iowa. She did clerical work for DMACC in Ankeny, Iowa for 17 ˝ years, retiring in 1985.
She was a member of the Pioneers Club, original group of employees that started DMACC, and the First Cousins Club. She was a missionary in the truest sense, always contributing to good causes. She gave a great deal to the Missionette program at the First Assembly of God Church in Newton. She also gave to various other churches and organizations, such as the Salvation Army, as well as to individuals in need. Her main hobby was baking, especially cookies.
Memorials to Hospice of Jasper County may be left at the church the morning of the service or at the Wallace Family Funeral Home.
