William D. “Bill” Altemeier, 50, of Lathrop, Mo., passed away April 20, 2009, at home. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m., followed by services at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 2, at the Park Lawn Lathrop Chapel, 901 Clinton Street, Lathrop. Memorial contributions are suggested to the American Cancer Society.
Bill was born Dec. 14, 1958, in Newton. He graduated from Newton Senior High School and the University of Iowa in Iowa City. He most recently worked for R.J. Wholesale in Liberty, Mo.
Survivors include his wife of 21 years, Danielle, and daughter, Devon, both of the home. He also leaves his mother, Norma Altemeier; father, David Altemeier; brother, Curt Altemeier (and wife Susan); paternal grandmother, Marge Altemeier, all of Newton; two nieces, Nicole Miles (and husband Ben) of Colfax and Heather Altemeier of Marshall, Mo.; as well as other family members and friends.
