Max E. Dodge, 88, of Newton died on Sunday, March 29, 2009.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 1, 2009, at the Wittemberg Cemetery in rural Newton.
Memorials to the Wittemberg Cemetery Association or to Hospice of Jasper County may be left at the funeral home.
Survivors include his three sons, Joe (Sandy) Dodge of Newton, Jack (Linda) Dodge of Lovington, Ill., and John Dodge of Newton; five grandchildren, Tony (Brenda) Aldrich of Kellogg, Scott Aldrich of Newton, Sean (Lisa) Aldrich of Newton, Justin (Tina) Dodge of Waukee and Ethan Dodge of Newton; and his five great-grandchildren, Nick, Josh, Danielle and Jacob Aldrich and Jared Dodge.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Harold Dodge.
Arrangements are being handled by the Wallace Family Funeral Home & Crematory in Newton.
