MONROE — Robert W. Farver, 68 of Monroe, died Wednesday, March 11, 2009, at home, surrounded by his family. A memorial gathering will be held Saturday, March 14 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Coburn Funeral Home in Monroe.
Memorials may be given to the Robert W. Farver Memorial Fund and online condolences may be left for the family at www.coburnfuneralhomes.com.
The son of Arnold Ellis and Irene (Price) Farver, Bob was born on July 21, 1940, in Colfax. Those left to honor his memory, his wife of 29 years, Mary of Monroe; his children, Kelly Jo (Greg) Harvey of Pella, Tony (Becky) Farver of Newton, Kae Lynn (David) DeVries of Reasnor, Terry (Anita) Farver of Des Moines; step children, Cheryl (Cliff) Kirk of Monroe, Millie Parr of California and Teresa (Toby) McCafferey of Colorado; 15 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
Also surviving is Bob’s sister, Joann (Keith) Datwyer of Peru, Iowa; brothers Jack (Shirley) Farver of Winterset, Moe (Marilyn) Farver of Newton and Roger (Debbie) Farver of Monroe; a sister-in-law, Peggy Farver of Monroe; and many nieces and nephews. Preceding Bob in death were his parents, grandparents, a brother Lyle, aunts, uncles and a nephew.
