Margie Mullihan, 87, formerly of Baxter, passed away Monday, Feb. 23, 2009, at the Sunny View Care Center in Ankeny, Iowa.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 27, at the Congregational United Church of Christ in Baxter. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be in Restland Cemetery in Baxter. Boyd Davis Funeral Home in Baxter is entrusted with arrangements.
Margie was born May 16, 1921, in Baxter, the daughter of John and Ruby Thurman Stinson. She was united in marriage to James Mullihan, was a homemaker and loved to cook, especially pies and pastries. She also enjoyed gardening, playing cards and listening to big band and country music.
Margie is survived by two sisters, Jeanne Pollard and DoLores Wastier; a daughter, Linda Fernandez of Ankeny; a son, Lonnie (Tammy) of Bondurant; a granddaughter, Danielle (Jake Buck) Strole of Ankeny; a grandson, Dalton Mullihan of Bondurant; and a great-grandchild, Aubrey Buck.
Preceding her in death were her husband, John, and a son, Larry.
