Ruby Stinson
Baxter-Ruby Stinson, 94, of Baxter died Thursday, July 26, at Des Moines Iowa Methodist Center of a cerebral hemorrhage.
Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. today at the Baxter Congregational Church of Christ. The Rev. Darrell Baily officiating. Burial was in the Baxter Restland Cemetery.
Memorials to the Congregational United Church of Christ may be left at the church.
Survivors include four daughters, Marie Van Gorp, Newton, Jeannie Pollard of Des Moines, Margie Mullihan of Collins and Dolores Wastier of Baxter; as well as six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Sanford Thurman and Margarette O'Neal; her husband, John Stinson, one brother and three sisters and three half-sisters.
Mrs. Stinson was born Sept. 4, 1895 at Murray. She moved to Baxter in 1912 where she lived the rest of her life.
She was a member of the Happy Hour Club and worked at Vernon Co. for two years.
