MELBOURNE — Eileen Anna Damman, 80, of Melbourne, passed away Wednesday, Feb, 11, 2009, at Marshalltown Medical and Surgical Center.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb 14, at United Church of Christ in Melbourne with the Rev. Linda Schmidt officiating. Burial will be in Melbourne Cemetery.
Visitation will be two hours prior to the service at the church. Online condolences may be sent to the family at vogelfuneralhomes.com. Pursel Davis Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.
Eileen was born Sept. 18, 1928, the daughter of John and Anna Eileen (Billmeyer} Gauch and the seventh of seven children. On Sept. 5, 1948, she was united in marriage to Deryl Leroy Damman at the St. John United Church of Christ in Melbourne. She loved raising dogs and horses and enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family and grandchildren. Eileen was a member of United Church of Christ and Ponies of America Club.
Eileen will be missed by her children, Linda Marie (Jim Whitacre) Warner of Newton, Duane Douglas (Deanna) Damman of Melbourne, Dean Marvin (Janet) Damman of Melbourne; grandchildren, Stacy Lynn (Rodney) Porter, Christopher Lee (Betsy) Damman, Corey Dean Damman, Craig William (Angie) Damman; great-grandchildren, Georgia Porter, Jalen Porter, Cole Damman, Cody Damman and Rylee Damman; and sister, Virginia Bucklin.
Eileen was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Tony Gauch, Jack Gauch, Charles Gauch; and sisters Frances Klass and Roma Koon.
