Timothy James Martin, 71, formerly of Monroe, died Tuesday, Jan. 6, 2009, at Taylor House Hospice.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Jan. 10, 2009, at Brooks Funeral Care-Tonini Chapel. Burial took place Monday, Jan. 12, 2009, at Glendale Cemetery in Des Moines.

Timothy Martin, 71, passed away on January 6, 2009, at Taylor House Hospice.
Funeral services will be held 6 p.m., Saturday, January 10, 2009, at Brooks Funeral Care - Tonini Chapel. Visitation will be from 3 to 6 p.m., Saturday, prior to the service time. Burial will take place 11 a.m., Monday, January 12, 2009, at Glendale Cemetery.
Tim worked for Data Input Services as a delivery driver.
He served in the Army during the Vietnam War.
Tim loved to garden and taking care of his yard. He enjoyed watching football, fishing and traveling.
He will be missed by his wife of 15 years, Nancy; children, Clint, Lori Leporte, Josh and Joy; stepchildren, Donna, Max and Christa; ten grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and sister, Alice Ayers.
Tim was preceded in death by two grandchildren.
Memorial contributions are suggested to Taylor House Hospice.
