MONROE — Cindi Jennings, 55, of Monroe died Saturday, Dec. 20, 2008, at Mercy Medical Center of Des Moines.
A memorial service for Cindi will be on Saturday, Dec. 27, at the Monroe United Methodist Church at 2:30 p.m. Family will be present to greet friends one hour prior to the memorial service from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. at the church. Cindi Jennings, age 55 of Monroe, died Saturday, December 20, 2008 at Mercy Medical Center of Des Moines. The daughter of Willy and Marjory (Rees) Andrews, Cindi was born on July 16, 1953 in Knoxville. Cindi was a graduate of Knoxville High School, Class of 1971. On July 11, 1981 Cindi was united in marriage with Alan Jennings at her parent’s home in Knoxville. Cindi worked for the telephone company splicing cables. She enjoyed bowling, the pond, and making candy. Cindi also had a love for cooking, and would always prepare enough food to feed an army. Cindi will be remembered for her kindness and generosity. She never knew a stranger. Cindi always treasured the time she could spend with her cousin and best friend, Kathy Rieck. Cindi was a member of the Women’s Legion Auxiliary and also served on the Monroe City Council.
Those left to honor her memory are her husband Alan Jennings of Monroe; son Ryan Jennings of Alexandria, Virginia; daughter Amy Jennings of Monroe; and grandson Skyler Jennings of Monroe. Cindi was preceded in death by her daughter Molly Jennings, and her father Willy Andrews.
