Weideman, Freda - 1927-2008

Freda I. (Adams) Weideman, 81, of Sully and formerly of Killduff, died Saturday Dec. 6, 2008 at the Skiff Medical Center in Newton.
Memorial services will take place at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 11, at the Wallace Family Funeral Home in Newton with pastor Nancy Pick of the St. Andrews Lutheran Church in rural Sully presiding.
The family will greet friends from 6 to 8 P.M., Wednesday, Dec. 10 at the funeral home, a private family burial will be held.
Memorials to St. Andrews Lutheran Church may be left at Wallace Family Funeral Home and Crematory.
The daughter of Jetson Scott and Jeanette Agnes (Klyn) Adams, Freda was born Oct. 21, 1927, in Killduff, where she grew up and remained until 1995 when she moved to Sully. Freda graduated from Newton Senior High School in 1946. She married Wayne Weideman on June 15, 1947, in Killduff.
Freda was a member of St. Andrews Lutheran Church and St. Andrews WELCA. She loved baseball, spending time with her grandchildren, her many, many friends and conservative politics.
She is survived by two sons, Craig (Rhea) Weideman of Virginia Beach, Va., and Kurt "Skip" Weideman of Sully; daughter, Jane (Jim) Vander Weerdt of Sully; six grandchildren, Cole (Jennifer) Weideman of Virginia Beach, VA., and Trisha Weideman, Kaid Weideman, Kody (Karina) Vander Weerdt, Tanner Vander Weerdt, and Betsy Vander Weerdt, all of Sully; and one step-great-grandchild, Mackenzie.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Wayne in 1994; two daughters, Jenice and Denise; and a brother, Chuck.
