Marvin J. Gragg, 61, died on Wednesday, Nov. 26, 2008, at his home in Newton.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 2, at the Wallace Family Funeral Home in Newton.
The family will greet friends from 11:30 a.m. until the time of service on Tuesday at the funeral home.
Memorials in Marvin’s name may be left at the funeral home.
Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth of Newton; son, Bill “Winkel” Gragg of Oskaloosa; daughter, Kim Runnells of Oskaloosa; 15 grandchildren, a great-grandchild, his mother, Darlene Martin of Newton; foster children, Dawn Bragg of Newton and Joseph Richardson of Brooklyn; and his three brothers and sister.
He was preceded in death by his father, Ed A. Gragg; stepfather, Leslie Martin; son, Marvin L. Gragg in 2005; and a brother and a sister.

Those left to honor Marvin's memory are his wife, Elizabeth Gragg of Newton; son, William "Winkel" Gragg of Oskaloosa, Iowa; daughter, Kim Runnells of Oskaloosa; his fifteen grandchildren and great-grandchild; mother, Darlene Martin of Newton; foster children, Dawn Bragg of Newton and Joseph Richardson of Brooklyn, Iowa; three brothers, Ed (Lois) Gilkison of Colfax, Iowa; Max (Joyce) Gragg of What Cheer, Iowa, and Mick (Donna) Gragg of What Cheer; sister, Pamela (Norman) Willey of Rock Springs, Wyoming. He was preceded in death by his father, Ed A. Gragg; step father, Leslie Martin; Son, Marvin L. Gragg in 2005; brother, Michael Gragg; and sister, Peggy Walker.
Marvin was a truck driver for many years, driving for Manatt’s Inc. in Newton for 13 years, and RJC Trucking in Des Moines.
Marvin was a member of the Hilltop Chapel in What Cheer. He enjoyed being with his family, especially the grandchildren. Marvin also enjoyed working on cars, figure 8 car racing, fishing and golfing.
