Eunice Darlene Van Dusseldorp, 77, of Newton, formerly of Colfax, died Thursday, Nov. 6, 2008, at Careage of Newton. Memorial services will be today, Nov. 10, at 3 p.m. at Coburn Funeral Home in Colfax. There will be no visitation.
Memorials may be given to the Darlene Van Dusseldorp Memorial Fund and online condolences may be left for the family at www.coburnfuneralhomes.com.
The daughter of Nathan William and Anna Dorothy Katherine (Beyer) Pierce, Darlene was born on June 23, 1931, in Newton. She was united in marriage to Keith Van Dusseldorp in 1953. Darlene worked at Maytag for 27 years in quality control, retiring in 1993. Darlene was a life long resident of the area, living in Colfax and moving to Newton in 1987.
Those left to honor her memory are her children; Steven (Cindy) Van Dusseldorp of Colfax, Ray Van Dusseldorp of Newton, Craig (Barb) Van Dusseldorp of Leesburg, Va., and Randy Van Dusseldorp of Newton. Also surviving are five grandchildren, Steve Van Dusseldorp Jr. and Heather Van Dusseldorp, both of Colfax, Michael (Sarah) Van Dusseldorp of Carol Stream, Ill., Kristian Van Dusseldorp and Scott Van Dusseldorp both of Leesburg, Va.; and three great-grandchildren, Michaela “Kayla” Van Dusseldorp of Colfax, Anna Van Dusseldorp and Ethan Van Dusseldorp both of Carol Stream, Ill.
She was preceded in death by her parents; step mother; husband; sister; and a niece.
