ELMER BRODERSEN DIES SATURDAY; SERVICES TUESDAY
Elmer William Brodersen, 80, of Reasnor, a lifelong resident of Jasper County, died at 10:35 p.m. Saturday in his home.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Morgan-Loehr Funeral Home.
The Rev. Raymond Moore, minister of Reasnor Methodist Church, will conduct the services. Burial will be in Palo Alto Cemetery.
Mr. Brodersen will lie in state after 10 a.m. today in the funeral home.
Survivors are two sons, Wilbur C. and Byron, both of Monroe, five grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and three sisters, Mrs. Ella Woody, Mrs. Carrie Wheeler and Mrs. Mabel Vanness, all of Newton.
He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, three sisters and his wife, Mamie, Nov. 27, 1957.
Mr. Brodersen, a retired farmer, was a member of the Methodist Church.
The son of Peter and Karoline Wolf Brodersen, he was born Oct. 28,1887, in Jasper County and was educated in Jasper County schools.
He was married to Mamie Dale Mick, July 2, 1910.
