OBITUARY

REASNOR

NOBLE WOMAN AND MOTHER PASSED AWAY AT GALESBURG LAST WEEK

Mrs. Charles Mick passed away at her home in Galesburg August 13th, 1915, after a six weeks' illness.

On July 3rd she suffered a severe attack of appendicitis and two weeks later she was taken to the M.E. hospital at Des Moines for an operation. The appendix was removed but the tubercular condition of the bowels and peritoneum was incurable. After returning home, she had an acute attack of Bright's disease which she could not throw off on account of her weakened condition.

Mary J. Holmes was born in Marion county, Iowa, August 9th, 1868.

While very young her parents moved to Greenwood, Nebr. where they resided about seven years, then moved back to Jasper county where she grew up to womanhood.

On July 9th, 1890, she was united in marriage to Charles Mick. To this union three children were born, Mrs. Elmer Broderson, near Reasnor, Lyle who is at home, and Elmer who died in infancy. Besides her husband and two children she leaves an aged mother, two grandchildren, two brothers, three sisters and a host of friends to mourn her loss.

The funeral services were held at the Galesburg M.E. church Sunday at 11 o'clock, conducted by Rev. Fitzsimmons, pastor of the M.E. church, assisted by Rev. Fillmore of the Christian church.

Interment was made in the Hewitt cemetery.
